My goal is to nurture your joy of music by helping you to discover and express your own musicality.
My music lessons aim to develop students to become creative, confident and independent musicians.
I teach using both acoustic and electronic keyboard instruments.
I also offer focused tuition on music theory and * coming soon* music history, both are explored ‘hands on the piano’.
I can also help you get started with Sibelius First notation software.

Lessons are professionally planned and tailored for the individual. Popular and classical styles are taught with emphasis on creative, artistic music making. We will work on technique and playing comfortably. Progress is monitored so that students can appreciate their growth and best reach their personal musical goals.
Support on how to practise effectively and performance skills is provided as well as opportunities to perform.
If students wish to take music exams, preparation includes plenty of aural activities, music theory and material from my library to enrich learning in addition to the set pieces which will develop much stronger and assured musicianship.
Arrive for the lesson a few minutes earlier than scheduled so that the full lesson time can be utilised!
Playing music is a truly awesome lifetime activity to enjoy solo or with family and friends, and in this spirit, my lessons are fun, progressive and full of creative music making.
